Community Support
The Co-op offers both economic and social benefits.  While we are committed to operating efficiently in providing goods and services to our members and their families, we also recognize our social responsibility to help improve the quality of life in Yellowknife. Over the years, the Co-op has supported dozens of local non-profits and charities. Some of these are:

Request for Donations
To request a donation for your event or to request to hold a fundraising activity at the Co-op, please complete the request form, as appropriate, and submit to member service at least one month in advance of the event.  In the case of multiple requests for holding fundraising, requests shall be processed in the order that they are received.  Forms may be faxed to 873-3769 or handed in at the Member Service counter. Employee of the Month
This employee incentive program is sponsored by the Yellowknife Co-op. To give special recognition to those employees who give outstanding service to the Co-op, the Board has approved a program in which employees may be nominated to receive recognition for a job well done. This month's Employee of the Month.

Each month, one person is chosen to receive a $100 gift certificate from the Co-op.

Scholarship Program
The Co-op annually offers up to eight scholarships of $1000 each to students who display strong leadership, who are active in school and community extra-curricular activities, and who have shown strong academic performance. Individuals who have been accepted into or are currently attending a university, accredited college, technical school, or institute of technology are encouraged to apply. All applications will be assessed on an individual basis and all decisions made by the Scholarship Committee are final. Application forms are available at the Member Service Counter or can be downloaded here. Drop off completed application forms at Member Service on or before September 20.
