Associate Membership

If you do not live in Yellowknife you can still become a member of the Yellowknife Co-op and enjoy all of the benefits of shopping at the Co-op. Our out of town members are called Associate Members and as an Associate Member you can order your groceries to be mailed to you at your home in your community.

Associate Members are required to purchase $60 worth of shares in the Yellowknife Co-op upon joining.

How Associate Membership Works
We offer you the freshest selection of beef, pork and poultry; fruits and vegetables, bakery and sweet goods, specialty and gourmet foods and deli meats and cheeses. We also carry a wide selection of National Brand products and imported and organic foods.    

To help us serve you better, we ask that you give us 48 hours notice to fill your order. This means that 48 hours after we receive your order we should have it delivered to the plane for shipment.

We will:

• Special order any product that you need. 
• Assemble, wrap, label, invoice and issue a single statement.
• Make Food Mail arrangements with First Air or Buffalo Airways.

You may:

• Phone, fax, or email orders.
• Use either one of the convenient payment methods - Visa or MasterCard.

Food Mail Order Form: Associate Members may print off a copy of the food mail order form and use it as a guide to order groceries. Food mail rates are as follows:

• Perishable & fresh goods - .80/kg
• All other groceries - 2.15/kg
